A LA UNE!

The 10th edition of France-Atlanta has come to an end. Thank you to everybody who made it a success! 

Nearly 300 students attended this year's Education Series sessions and learnt more about humanitarian affairs in French-speaking countries as well as the benefits of French language proficiency in professional settings.

Four of the ten French DLI schools in the Southeast have been selected to participate in the French Getaways program. Created by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy, this initiative aims to bring French language to the classroom in a non-academic way.

Rémi Courgeon, awarded children's book author and illustrator, told the story of Brindille to students at Waddell Elementary, Evansdale Elementary and Trip Elementary.

Three members of UniverSCiel organization stopped by the GLOBE Academy to talk about stars and contellations.

TEACHING ASSISTANT PROGRAM IN FRANCE

Each year, over 1600 Americans go to France and teach English in French public schools for 7 months.

Feel like taking part in this program and join the 27000 TAPIF Alumni across the U.S? TAPIF is back!

PhD students in American universities wiiling to conduct research in France, this program is for you!

The Chateaubriand Fellowship grant offered by the French Embassy in the U.S supports outstanding PhD students research in France for 4 to 9 months.

The 2020-2021 call for proposal is open until January 7.

EN CLASSE!

Within the framework of the Don du Livre project, LibreMot is pleased to present its French Poetry contest.

Any student of French is eligible to enter the contest.

Poems are due by December 20, 2019 and winners will be announced January 15, 2020.

This contest is organized in collaboration with l'AMOPA, the he Department of French, Francophone, and Italian Studies, and the Global Business Resource Center at the College of Charleston.

2020 will be the year of Comics!

On this occasion, the Institut français and the U.S Alliances françaises network, in partnership with the Cultural Services, are organizing a comic strip contest for learners of French.

Students' artwork must be submitted on the IF Prof plateform.

Contest is open until December 27, 2019.

PLUMA MAGAZINE : FRANCOPHONIE SPECIAL ISSUE

Tell us about Francophonie! 

The Cultural Services in Atlanta, Pluma Magazine and AATF have teamed up to give your 8-12 grade students a chance to publish an article in the April 2020 special issue on Francophonie. 

Contest's rules are to be announced soon! Get your papers ready!
