The education series was an initiative launched several years ago as part of France-Atlanta, and has become a highly awaited program each year. For the new edition, which took place from November 1-30, humanitarian representatives from Peace Corps, Emory’s Master of Development Practice, The Carter Center, CARE and CDC shared with students from schools and universities in Metro Atlanta about the importance of learning the French language in the context of humanitarian and development work.

As the years go by, this France-Atlanta education series continues to be a highly sought-after program by teachers. More than 10 presentations took place this year, and each of them sparked numerous exchanges and discussions, which in turn increased the students’ interest and knowledge. Indeed, foreign languages are worth more than just a graduation requirement: they open doors and build bridges!
