JDC November 17 [fr]

The French Consulate will organize the next Journée de Défense et Citoyenneté (JDC) on November 17 at the Alliance Française of Atlanta from 2pm-5pm. Participants must arrive no later than 1:30 p.m.

The Journée de Défense et Citoyenneté, or Citizenship and Defense Day, will be led by Lieutenant-Colonel Demay, French liaison officer at Fort Benning, in Georgia. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss with him how the authorities and armed forces work each day to ensure liberty and security in France and around the world.

Participants receive a certificate of participation which will enable them to pass French state exams.

Access :

The building is located on the corner of 14th and Peachtree with the parking located under the building.

Once inside Colony Square, take the escalator to Plaza Level and follow the signs ; or take the grand staircase at the entrance of the W Hotel.

The Alliance Française is located just above Moe’s Grill.

Parking :

Present your parking ticket at the receptionist of the Alliance Française for validated parking for the first two hours.

Beyond that timeframe, the cost is $1.50/15 minutes.


The Alliance Française d’Atlanta is 5 minutes by foot from the MARTA station ARTS CENTER.
