Atlanta celebrates #ClimateDiploDay 2016 [fr]
Join Atlanta’s European community on September 15 for a film and panel discussion on the effects of climate change on some of the world’s most remote regions.
To mark the 3rd European Climate Diplomacy Day, the European consulates of Atlanta will host Climate Diplo Day 2016 on September 15.
On this occasion, the 2015 documentary « Thule Tuvalu » by Swiss director Matthias von Gueten will be screened at the Alliance Française/Goethe Zentrum.
The film explores how the remote towns of Thule, Greenland and Tuvalu, in the South Pacific, inadvertently at the front lines of climate change, have their entire existence threatened as a result of global warming.
Following a pre-event reception, the film will be accompanied by a panel discussion French Consul General Louis de Corail, German Consul General Detlev Ruenger, and British Consul General Jeremy Pilmore-Bedford.
