Mark your calendars for Good France ! [fr]
In light of global developments due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Goût de / Good France operation, due to be held on 16 April 2020, has been postponed to Spring 2021.
Created in 2005 by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and by the chef Alain Ducasse, “Goût de France” (Good France) is a worldwide celebration of French gastronomy, a key event for food lovers and francophiles alike.
On April 16, 2020, thousands of restaurants around the globe – including two in Georgia, one in North Carolina and one in Tennessee – are putting on a "Goût de France/Good France" dinner, offering a four-course meal featuring the best of France’s culinary tradition.
Participating restaurants will offer dishes which celebrate sustainable dining and also pay tribute to the Centre-Loire Valley region of France. French wine, champagne, a main course, appetizer, cheese and dessert are included. This sixth edition of this celebration is particularly special as we celebrate the tenth anniversary of the inscription of the “Gastronomic Meal of the French” on UNESCO’s list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
The Consulate General of France in Atlanta will hold its official Goût de France celebration at AIX in Atlanta on April 16, 2020.
We invite everyone to celebrate Goût de France at one of the participating restaurants across the U.S. Southeast. More information to come on the restaurant menus!
