France-Atlanta 2020 virtual Opening Ceremony [fr]
On October 1, we launched the 2020 edition of France-Atlanta with a virtual event featuring a discussion between Georgia Tech President Ángel Cabrera and Jonathan Gilad, Counselor for Ecology, Sustainable Development, Energy and Transport of the Embassy of France in the United States. Rickey Bevington, Senior Anchor/Correspondent, Georgia Public Broadcasting, moderated the discussion.
Opening remarks were provided by the Ambassador of France to the United States Philippe Etienne, the Mayor of the City of Atlanta Keisha Lance Bottoms and Consul General of France Vincent Hommeril.
Created in 2010 by the Consulate General of France in Atlanta and Georgia Tech, France-Atlanta is a series of events centered on innovation and designed to foster cooperation between France and the U.S. Southeast.
