Atlanta welcomes Author-Illustrator Marion Bataille [fr]


Marion Bataille, a celebrated author and illustrator specialized in pop-up books, will conduct a FREE and OPEN workshop as part of her US Tour at the Little Shop of Stories in Decatur, Atlanta on January 31, 2017 to present AOZ, a cut-out typography workshop.

In addition, Marion Bataille will visit three bilingual schools in the Metro Atlanta area and she will present AOZ entirely in French:

- Trip Elementary school
- Evansdale Elemenatray School
- International Charter School of Atlanta

She will also meet with SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) students and tell them all everything about her work.

Born in Paris in 1963, Marion Bataille is a creative and very well-known author-illustrator and a pioneer in pop-up books. A graduate of Ecole supérieure d’arts graphiques in Paris, she started as a freelance graphic designer and a collage illustrator, before becoming Artistic Director for the cultural magazine Télérama.

This event is FREE and OPEN to the public. During the workshop, attendees will learn to create pop-up art centered on the alphabet. Appropriate for all ages (Adults and children welcome).
